Through his work with UNICEF, the Red Cross, and Feed the Children, Samuel has been able to use his celebrity to increase awareness of the plight of the Haitian people and advocate for foreign assistance to improve the state of the nation. Samuel’s commitment to the cause of Haitian aid includes a multi-year pledge to UNICEF, precipitated by the immensely devastating 2008 hurricane season. He will support efforts to bring clean water, food, and medical supplies and assistance to the people most in need throughout the country.
 
The Samuel Dalembert Foundation’s newest initiative is to build and operate a school and sports academy in Haiti. Phase One plans for this project are now complete and the project is currently in the final land selection and procurement process, after which construction will commence. The Foundation welcomes partnerships with parties interested in assisting with and sharing in the success of this Project.
